Field Service Technician

At Elnik Systems, our relationship with customers doesn’t end when a furnace ships — it begins when it’s powered on. As a Field Service Technician, you are the trusted expert customers rely on to ensure their equipment performs safely, reliably, and at the highest level possible.

You’ll travel the world bringing Elnik furnaces to life — starting systems, solving complex challenges, and training customers to operate with confidence. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Checkout to deliver smart, efficient solutions that keep customers productive and successful.

Job Requirements

What You'll Do

· Lead start-up and commissioning of Elnik equipment at customer locations worldwide.

· Train customers on safe operation, maintenance, and best practices.

· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electro-mechanical systems via phone, virtual support, and onsite visits.

· Develop clear Scopes of Work that define service activities, expectations, and outcomes.

· Document service activities, repairs, upgrades, and system changes with accuracy and discipline.

· Perform scheduled annual maintenance to ensure peak equipment performance.

· Support development of customer training materials, SOPs, and IOM manuals.

· Assist with service quotes, rebuild scopes, and technical evaluations.

· Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing on testing, troubleshooting, and new equipment validation.

· Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across service processes and system design.

· Up to 80% domestic and international travel required to support customer needs. Valid passport required.

What You Bring

· 5–10 years of experience servicing industrial electro-mechanical capital equipment.

· Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.

· Trade school, technical degree, or associate degree preferred.

· Experience with Allen-Bradley platforms (SLC-500, CompactLogix) a plus.

· Experience with RSView / FactoryTalk View a plus.

· Comfortable with Microsoft Windows and Office tools.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in industrial environments.
